Having problems with your 1988 Honda Prelude ?

Engine will not turn over.

\015 My '88 Prelude has been sitting for three or more years. I have recharged the battery, but the car will not even turn over...just a lot of clicking and the check engine light goes on.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 24-02-2020

Answers :

Check if you can turn motor over by hand if you cant motor has seized (rust in cylinder bores) can try removing spark plugs and put a few squirts of oil in cylinder let it soak for a day or two then try to turn over by hand with plugs out still if it frees up put plugs in and try and start be warned it may get a little smokey till oil burns off.
