Having problems with your 1990 Honda Civic ?

91 hon civ turns over but wont fire

\015 I was driving, had rpms high before shifting 2 to 3. sounded like redlined, engine cut out. i pressed the clutch and let up completely on gas. car died.... now it will crank over a couple times then sounds like a dead crank, then turn a few more times then try to fire once. repeats crank prob firing real sporadically.timing marks all seem to be lined up.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-08-2018

I just had the same problem with my civic, except mine is an automatic. the problem was a coil.
You should inspect the timing belt, and if you are hearing a clunky noise during cranking, you could have valves stiking the pistons (due to the timing belt slippage) and thats not a good thing.
