Having problems with your 1998 Dodge Caravan ?

My 1998 Caravan has a bad squeek in the belt system. Have replaced tensioner pully twice, replaced idler pully and bearings, replaced cerpentine belt twice, replaced alternator twice, went back to original alternator. Used belt dressing on original belt, made it 1000x worse. It has 123,000 miles. Sounds like multiple squeeks now.

Answers :

Without the belt do all the pulleys turn easy. Power steering, water pump, alternator, and tensioner pulley. There is probably only one way the belt will stay on but make sure you have the smooth side to the smooth pulley and the grooved side to the grooved pulleys. See if any of the pulleys have and wiggle in them.
Check the crank pulley because that is the main one that controls all of them. can you tell which belt is making noise.

check the ac compressor and the power steering pump that might be the generation of the problem
