Having problems with your 2002 Volkswagen Jetta TDI ?

When idling the temp. stays @190f ,when driving even a short distance,it goes to 260f. upper radiator hose gets hot & sounds like bubles inside,@ lower radiator hose by altenatore remains cool?it is 1.8 turbo jetta 2002

Need water pump has plastic torbine and slips off metal gear so change water pump and thermostat
Bad thermostat? Your thermostat is likely not opening, so the water cannot flow through its cooling circuit. Replace it IMMEDIATELY with an OEM thermostat; the aftermarket ones are troublesome.
