Having problems with your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab ?

A/C smelled like smoke then blew 30A fuse - Silverado 1500 2004

\015 The A/C began smelling like smoke through the ductwork (truck never been smoked in) then after a few weeks the blower stopped. Found 30A fuse blown. Can replace the fuse & it works again but worried about what caused it & what is burning below the surface!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-11-2020

Answers :

Turned out to be the connector going into what I guess is the temp control module - cooked it pretty good & I need a whole new harness under the dash :(
You may want to change the blower motor as a precaution.
Do all the fan speeds work?
If not .....change the fan resistor board which is right beside the fan at the same time you change the blower fan motor.
