Having problems with your Chevrolet Cavalier ?
I followed a link to ask you about a 2004 chevrolet cavalier that has an automatic transmission issue. I saw that you had tried to answer the same question for someone else. It will not shift from frist to second gear and the speedometer is no longer working. When in drive it slips into a neutral (between gears I think) like state and the motor revs. Any ideas what I should check. It is my Mothers car and she (and I) can not afford a costly repair bill. Thank you very much,
SOUND LIKE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. YOUR TRANSMISSION NEED A FLUID AND FILTER CHANGE.YOUR TRANSMISSION DONT HAVE A DIP STICK.TO CHECK FLUID.YOU HAVE A LEVEL CHECK PLUG.YOUR CAR HAS TO BE LEVEL AND RAISED BY PUTTING ON A LIFT TO CHECK FLUID LEVEL.GARAGE HAVE TO DO THIS.IF YOUR VECHICLE HAVE A DIP STICK.DRIVE CAR FEW MILES CHECK FLUID LEVEL ON THE DIP STICK.SHOULD BE ON THE FULL MARK.IF NOT ADD A PINT TO BRING LEVEL UP TO FULL MARK DONT OVER FILL. IF YOUR SPEED SENSOR NOT WORKING CAN CAUSED VECHICLE SHIFTING PROBLEMS.HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED FOR FAULTY VECHICLE SPEED SENSOR OR 1 - 2 SHIFT VALVES PROBLEMS BEFORE SPENDING MONEY.
