Having problems with your Chevrolet Corvette ?

Getting ready to start a 1973 chevy 350 that sat a while.i went to prime oil pump ,and i only get oil out of rocker arms on driverside.oil pump is pumping perfect.motor was pulled out of a truck and was recently rebuilt.motor ran perfect in truck after rebuild.oil is filled in oil filter.using a primimg tool for drill.oil is being sprayed on tool when priming.im guessing because distributor is not in front of oil hole that row of lifters cant get the oil from no pressure

Answers :

Are you saying you are only getting oil from the left rocker arm? Please clarify what you are asking?
You should be fine. the same oil port feeds both sides of the lifter galley, it just splits and goes to both sides. fire it without the valvecovers on it or at least that side. you will have oil shortly. many different reasons for this. try to turn the engine 180 degrees if it really bothers you. its good to be thorough like you are but you'll be fine.
