Having problems with your Chevrolet Equinox ?

The warning light for stabilitrak came on suddenly tonight, the car lost power and another warning light saying "engine losing power" appeared. I shut the car off and returned home. Several hours later the warning signal is now off but the "check engine" light remains. I am afraid to drive it to the dealer tommorrow. I have a 2007 Equinox.

I have a 2011 impala and it did that to me but I had to get to work and causing me to drive 40 to 55 mph. If I pushed it to the limit it would cut off. Took to Chevy dealer after contacting Chevy and found the module in the excelorator(spelling I know but I am ******.) needed to be replaced and it would be $271 and that is the reason the stabilitrak light is coming on. I call a mechanic friend and he was able to order the part $65 and replace for me in 15 mins $40 labor. You can do it yourself if not trusting yourself call a mechanic friend.
Chevy transferred my complaint to a higher dept. they called and asked what happen, did I incurr any out of pocket expense ($60 for diag.) and he said ok, well call us if you have any further issue. WTF!!!! I told him he did not ask me if I would like to see about any extended warranty for bumper to bumper, nor did I even get it taken care of. WTF would I call you back for? He started stuttering like a lieing child so that really worked me up so I hung up the phone! Good luck to those with the same problem.
You will have to drive it to the dealer, if it leaves you stranded call a tow truck. all 2007 and up gm cars and trucks should have a 5 year 100k warranty so you should be covered as long as the check engine lamp is not flashing it is not a serious issue if it acts up, try pulling over shutting it off and restarting to see if it resets
