Having problems with your Chevrolet Malibu ?

The horn in my 2002 Chevrolet Malibu goes on by itself even when parked. When I hit the steering wheel, the horn stops. Then it goes on again minutes later. I have no alarm system. I removed the fuse for the horn while parked, and the problem disappeared. But I want to re-install the fuse and correct the problem. Any suggestions?

Answers :

You will have to remove the steering wheel and the airbag to investigate the problem ,no doubt a wire or a spring playing up but their is no easy way ,remember to disconnect the battery before you attempt to remove the airbag and make sure you have the radio code before you disconnect the battery
Hi! The horn relay is surely faulty. Could be corroded inside that can cause grounding which makes the horn act up. Please do replace the horn relay as a first course of action. Hope this helps and have a good one!
