Having problems with your Chevrolet Silverado ?

My fuel sensor may be having problems,the needle bounces and it does not always read the amount of fuel.The tank is off and I am not sure how to replace and check the sensor. It is a 1975 chevy silverado K10 pick up Thank you Mark Bigler

YOU HAVE TO DRAIN FUEL TANK AND REMOVE IT.TO REPLACE THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT.THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT SET IN FUEL TANK WITH A FLOAT AND ARM CONNECT TO IT.ALL YOU HAVE TO IS REMOVE FILLER NECK AND CAP.REMOVE VENT HOSE DISCONNECT TANK GAUGE WIRE AND GROUND LEAD.USE LARGEFLOOR JACK.PUT A PIECE OF PLY WOOD LARGE THEN JACK SADDLE SO IT WONT PUNCH HOLE IN TANK.YOU CAN GET EXTRA HELP WHICH MAKE IT EASIER.REMOVE TANK HOLDING STRAP THEN SLOWLY LOWER FUEL TANK. THEN REMOVE THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT.
