Having problems with your Chevrolet Silverado ?

I run 15/40 oil in my truck. We live in -25 weather here in the north. My oil indicator went over the 800 mark the other nite.Has there ever been a recall for this? Can I still drive the truck with this condition?

Answers :

15/40 is far too thick for the ambient temps you encounter.try running on 5/30 or 5/40.the lower # is the thickness when cold,so 5 should help with cold starts, although you probably use a sump heater anyway.
