Hi there,

Standing in front of the car, it is in front of the engine, just\015\012between the hood latch and cam housing...plastic looking circle with a\015\012plug on it. it is in plain sight, and has two bolts holding on.\015\012

Hope this initial info helps.

Let me know.
The Crankshaft position sensor is located near to the cam housing, exactly it is on the front of the engine, between the engine and the transaxle, and reads off the cam sprocket.

here instructions for replacement:

Remove speed control servo from driver's side strut tower.
\015\012Remove crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt Crankshaft Position Sensor
\015\012Pull crankshaft position sensor straight up out of the transaxle housing.
\015\012(Disconnect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector from the wiring harness connector.
\015\012All vehicles will be equipped with an adjustable crankshaft position\015\012sensor. This can be identified by an elongated mounting hole in the\015\012sensor.
\015\012NOTE: If the removed sensor is to be reinstalled, clean off the old\015\012spacer on the sensor face. A NEW SPACER must be attached to the sensor\015\012face before installation. If the sensor is being replaced, confirm that\015\012the paper spacer is attached to the face of the new sensor Crankshaft\015\012Position Sensor and Spacer
\015\012Install sensor in transaxle and push sensor down until contact is made\015\012with the drive plate. While holding the sensor in this position,\015\012install and tighten the retaining bolt to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.) torque.\015\012
\015\012Connect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector to the wiring harness connector.
\015\012Attach connector to heater tube bracket.
\015\012Install speed control servo. Tighten nuts to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.) torque.

Here is the part.
