1990 Diahatsu Charade cooling fan not going

\015 We have taking the car on a small drive and have noticed the temp gauge go to hot. We have flushed the radiator, and have now noticed the car fan does not move when we turn the car on? Is this suppose to happen? Do we need to get the fan replaced?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-04-2018

Answers :

First locate under hood and dash fuse blocks and check primary and secondary fan fuses. a faulty coolant or engine temp sensor might not be sending a signal to turn on the fan. To check the fan fined the connector and disconnect it. then run a wire from the positive batt and a wire from the frame or any good ground and touch the wires briefly to the terminals on the fan connector. be sure not to touch the wires together or u will have a problem(buned chaise wiring or an exploded batt) if the fan spins the problem isn't the fan but most likely one of the temp sensors or wiring. Hope this helps and be careful
The fan should only run when it gets hotter, if it does not copme on when hot then the fan is bad.. or its not getting power to the fan, the computer and relays and fuses connect it, I have just ran aq new wire from the bat. right to the fan to bypass all the ****.
