Driver side AC vents gives hot air while AC is on and the passenger side gives cold air. All the vents are open and the knobs are turned correctly. Please advise.

Check the vacuum servo motor located near your right foot as you sit in the vehicle. This is a aluminum canister about 1 3/4 inches in diameter. It has a linkage conncted to the airflow door. Try lying on the floor while someone swithches the control to defrost and then back to panel. If you donot see movement at this spot check for vacuum at the line. You can do this by putting the line on your tongue and you'll feel if it is active or not. Good luck. P.S. Also reach around the duct that leads to your vent and make sure that it is still secured to the rest of the connecting duct work. You are best off removing the knee protection panel(under the steering column) to gain better access.
