You should all do yourself a favor and not listen to this guy brandon he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about i read about 6 of his answers to dif problems he makes himself sound very knowledgeable to someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars.. but in reality his answers are so far off of that if you listen to this (person.... for lack of better terms) youll be chasing your tail for days. its almost like he has stock in a parts company the way he is reccomending parts be replaced that have zero to do with the persons problems. i stumbled on this site and just began reading and i honestly feel i wasted ten minutes of my life reading his b.s. lol... i felt as a mechanic i should write this post warning people not to listen to this foolishness. brandon if you read this no offense but hang up your mechanics hat and stick to whatever it is that you actually know how to do.
Hello leslie_sheil. I had a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan that did this same thing. There (if I remember correctly) is a relay that operates the dash panel (speed-o-meter and such) - it will be located under the hood in the relay panel near the battery. If you need assistance in locating the exact relay (look under panel lid first, there should be a diagram as to which relay is for what) - inquire with a parts dealer as they have manuals, and can look this up online as well. If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to ask.
