P0037 & P0138 do have to do with the vehicle running rich but for now I would concentrate on the P0740 because this is the main reason for the stalling and going in and out of gear. That code has to do with the transmission. Don't take it the wrong way but not quite sure of how much you know about auto repair so just want to make sure you have covered the basics. Have you checked your transmission fluid level ? Also make sure now or in the past if fluid has been changed that the fluid that was added was ATF + 4. The code is saying that there is a problem with the torque converter clutch solonoid which is located inside the transmission. If the fluid & level is good, I would check the main connection at the transmissin. I have marked the plug you need to check on the left side of the tansmission in the 1st picture below. I believe it is black in color. The picture below that is the picture of the wiring inside the transmission. The coneector that says case connector goes through a hole in the transmission and connects to that plug you need to check and clean real well on the left side of the transmission. The thing marked converter clutch solonoid is what the P0740 says may have a problem area. In most cases when that goes bad the vehicle will die the second you put it in gear and since you are not and going in and out of gear (rocking) it sounds more like a fluid issue or electrical. There are many tests that need to be done to fully diagnose the problem if that doesn't help but that's where I would start. If you do need further testing procedures feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to send you them. Hope this helps......9_16_2012_3_16_56_am.jpg9_16_2012_3_17_13_am.jpg
