Having problems with your Ford E-150 ?

I have a 92 e150 van with a V8 automatic transmission with overdrive. After sitting in my driveway for two months it won't shift into overdrive but goes into what feels like neutral at 45 mph......What's the problem?

Answers :

The throttle valve is stuck in the valve body. it is the valve connected to the cable that goes to the throttle body. changing fluid and using an additive for this symtom and a long drive to heat it up good to lossen it will help it. if you do the fluid change and drop the pan locate it by following that cable from throttle to transmission's side and see if you can move it free.

good luck man
