Having problems with your Ford Expedition ?

My 2001 Ford Expedition is guzzling gas like no other. I have had a tune up, new tires and oil change. But I am still getting about 12 miles per gallon is there anything that I can do to get more MPG?

I have a 99 explorer with V8 that runs great! and I get
\015\012a whopping 13mpg. But it has high miles. So I was
\015\012going to change the catalytic converters as they may
\015\012have started to plug up. And any exaust restriction
\015\012will drop your mpg, even a bent tailpipe will cause a
\015\012drop. There are other possible reasons for this, such as the o2 sensor sending a signal to the pcm calling
\015\012for a more fuel rich, air fuel mix than neccesary. Or
\015\012the temp sensor failing to signal that the engine is
\015\012at operating temp, and stays to some degree in cold
\015\012start mode. But either of these conditions would be
\015\012noticed through dtc codes- a smell or engine performence. I hope I was of some help.
\015\012Good luck.
