I would start by checking your battery terminals. Sounds like you have a loose connection, most likely a ground. If all looks good at the battery work your way to the solenoid and the ground at your engine as well as the "hot" cable at the satarter. I believe it is as simple as that. there could be a short somwhere in the ignition switch but most of the time when they are bad they are bad, if you know what i mean. I hope this helps but that's where to start and good luck.
Take your Explorer to a Autozone, Oreillys, or Advance autoparts store and ask them to test the battery and your Starter. They will do it free and you may get them to scan the onboard computer for free as well.

\012Once you are done with that, depending on what you find, a simple cleaning of the battery post and cables may be all you need. I would wait until you get tested before cleaning anything because you want everything checked.

\012When you lose everything like you did, it is probably the Battery. The anti-theft will trigger when the power is low, on some models the Alternator will stop charging intermittently. Jumping the vehicle will not correct it. Your Keychip will not make the radio cut out.

\012Post a message of what was found at the Autoparts place.
