Having problems with your Ford Explorer ?

I have a 93' Ford Explorer 4x4, the only way the the trans. will shift is by pressing the gas pedal, i added half a quart of fluid and it still does it. What would cause this?

Answers :

Check your kickdown cable which is usualy connected to the throttle plate next to the accelerator cable.It mustn't be too slack or too tight
