\015 How do you adjust the timing?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-01-2020

Answers :

Use a timing light, plug it in to the number 1 plug. there is a bolt that locks the distributor in place loosen it about 1/2 turn just enough to move the distributor back and forth clockwise and counter. it should be clockwise will advance timing and counterclockwise will ****** timing. there is a timing indicator on the front of the engine(index plate). crank the engine and adjust timing mark to correct setting. should be a decal underhood for correct timing in degrees.
BY MOVING THE DISTRIBUTOR, OR ARE U ASKING SOMETHING ELSE??
