Having problems with your Ford F-150 ?

Holding a steady pressure on the pedal, the truck doesn't drive smooth. It drives in spurts. my guesses are fuel pump or i even heard spark plugs. whats you take?

Answers :

Check the fuel filter and air filter first as these are the least expensive fixes. then work your way up. if the truck is fuel injected it may be the throttle position sensor, it could be spark plugs meaning you have a few good ones and a few that are bad. the only way to check is to pull them and look for build up on them. it may also be an idle air control which controls your fuel to air ratio in coordination with a few other sensors. if you rcheck engine light is on it might pay to have the codes pulled so you can see possible problems from the computer itself. good luck
