Having problems with your Ford Ranger ?
Turn ignition key on the usual bells, instrument panel lights come on.Turn key in start position, the last couple of dummy lights come on but nothing else.No power what ever,no clicking.I replaced the battery, tested starter relay, how can I check the ignition switch by myself.stranded..... thanx
The ignition switch should be on the underside of the steering column -- it's connected to the switch key cylinder by a rod. The switch may have burned contacts or loose connectors or it may just need adjusting (i.e., the rod may not be properly engaging the switch).
