Answers :

Remove and clean maf sensor ( manifold air flow ) this may do the trick. you can go to any auto parts store and buy a spray can of maf sensor cleaner. after removing be very carefull of the inside of sensor it has very delicate wires. when cleaning, carefully put it on a clean rag on a flat surface do not hit the fine wires from sensor with straw. let dry, then replace it. but after putting back on make sure airfilter and air tube to throttle body are clean. dirt and contamination is what screws up sensor. just follow directions on can.if above helps but does not solve problem then.\015\012Have you checked \015\012the timing (cam & distributor)? Backfires are normally caused by timing \015\012problems. good-luck !\015\012\015\012
