Having problems with your Geo Cars & Trucks ?

Engine stalls I have a 91 Geo Metro, and I have been bad about checking the oil level and i've heard the engine can seize if you don't have oil in it. I was driving and it stalled, acting like it was out of gas when I had gas in it, and I couldn't restart it. I add almost a quart of oil, and it slowly but surely started back up. What could cause this and why did it work after I added the oil?

Answers :

Some cars have a oil level sensor in the sump for people like you. The sensor tells the cpu to shut down the engine to prevent damage. Something like a low oil shut down on a small generator set
