Having problems with your GMC G1500 ?

Truck died at light found out electric control modual was bad changed it then it acted as if the starter was weak and wouldnt trurn the engine over,so i bought a new starter no change still would'nt turn over so i pulled the access cover for the flywheel and used a flywheel turner to turn the flywheel (i also removed all the belts) and only moved it about 1/2 inch so i removed the oil pan and don't see anything brock or loose under the engine.what do i check or do next?

Answers :

It would be much easier to turn the engine by using a socket and a breakover on the crankshaft pulley bolt. I understand why you thought you needed to turn the engine. If you remove the spark plugs it will turn real easy because you don't have to fight the compression. Are you sure the battery didn't die on you? What year is your truck, and which engine do you have? Was there a trouble code that let you know the ecm was bad?
