Having problems with your Honda Accord ?

1998 Accord Lx 4 cyl. I was having problems with the car stopping in the middle of driving randomly. Our mechanic diag. it as ignition switch needed replacing. I picked the car up and it no longer cuts off however now the (D)rive light doesn't light up (all the others do) and it kind of lunges when I try to stop. It's not terrible but it seems a little coincidental to me that it happened right after the other fix. Could they have mistakenly adjusted something wrong?

Probably: to take out the ignition switch the instrument panel has to come off, he probably bumped it a little bit too hard, interrupted some contacts and the bulb went off and the ECM has minor problems.\012\012\012
Simple fix: the panel must be taken off again and the connectors reseated. A 20 minutes job that will be really cheap , or even free if the shop will want you as a customer again.
