Having problems with your Honda Fit ?

I have a 2002 Honda City Type Z 1.3L A/T. During driving at 60km/hr the temperature gauge is in normal reading (less than half) but if i accelerate to 80~100 km/hr, the temperature gauge rises. When I decelerate to about 40~60km/hr, the temperaure becomes normal again. A technician told me that the gasket is the problem. But what gasket? can you teach me? Thanking you in advance.

Answers :

On tickover, do the fans come on when it gets hot ? if so, the first thing to replace is the thermostat, then see if you have the same "problem".(as its the cheapest and if faulty would give the same symptoms.)
