Having problems with your Hyundai Elantra ?
I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. My radio screen continually says LOADING as if a CD is being put in. It won't let me use the AUX function either. Is there any way to reset the radio or something?
Mine does this too; I got it to stop a few times by disconnecting the battery negative terminal and leaving it off for an hour or so, but the problem returned; Beware, the dealer limit on replacements is a "firm" 3yr/36k and I should have had the dealer replace it then, but I've been too darned busy. I asked for amnesty and the store owner even refused. Removing the panel and the radio is a snap, but locate a reliable "panel removal tool" first (basically a wedge-shaped stout thingie. There are 8 clips, 4 on the top and bottom and you may lose some in the dash so be careful. Then 4 phillips screws later a couple of cables and you're removal is complete. Since my tuner knob no longer works (or the sound-fader etc), the CD won't load, the XM expired etc and other people have posts galore on this issue, if I can't repair it with a good soaking of tuner cleaner, it's out of my life. Adapter kits are in the $15 range, some knowhow with a soldering iron to get the right things to work, I'm thinking a cheap reliable replacement on eBay or WalMart may be the way to go. BUT No more Hyundai radios!!
