Having problems with your Hyundai Motor 2003 Elantra ?

Central locking is flatening the battery

\015 I have a 2002 elantra and the central locking is constantly flicking, and all the doors don't always lock and unlock. The problem now is that when the car isn't driven for a day the battery goes flat. Which fuse (if any)can i remove to stop the central locking and just lock and unlock the car manually.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-09-2021

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle. Unfortunately, you'll find the system which controls the door locks is the ETACS Module (which also controls many other circuits which would become disabled if you pulled its fuse).
\015\012I've run into the problem you describe. Frequently it turned out to be a bad switch in the driver's door lock/unlock actuator.... Unless I diagnose the problem myself (or some other qualified technician does it), it could be something else entirely.
