Having problems with your Hyundai Motor 2003 Elantra ?

I have a bit of a problem and would be grateful for any suggestions. I have an hyundai elantra 2003 diesel (CRTD). If I change the fuel filter do I need to bleed the fuel system. If so how do I do it? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answers :

When you change it, fill it with fuel before you put it on. This will help from have to open an injector. It might smoke for a minute, but this normal. If it doesn't want to start then loosen up a line on any injector, crank the engine untill fuel cmes out. tighten it up and it will start.
We just got a diesel injection system put into our car. We love the better gas economy. I think they said something about bleeding the fuel filter. I'm not sure though. You should contact an auto shop that specializes in diesel injectors. http://www.hitechdiesel.com.au
