Having problems with your Hyundai Santa Fe ?

A loud knocking noise came from the engine, the mechanic after dismantling the engine, found a piston arm bad, and we have replaced it, and the bearing shells around the crankshaft. After mounting the engine, and start the car, the engine runs rough, and a code appears P1701, any help to solve the engine shake the car is Hyundai Santa fe 2002, 2.4 engine 2WD Thanks

The code 1701 means: TPS signal to TCM malfunction. TPS=Throttle Position Sensor.
TCM means=Transmission Control Module.

The engine shake requires further diagnosing. Best advice is to take/tow the vehicle to the nearest Hyundai Service Department & have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician diagnose the problem. Be sure to provide the past maintance/repair history when/if you do.
