Having problems with your Hyundai Sonata ?

Passenger detector malfunction disables airbags

\015 My 2002 Sonata has had the airbag light on for awhile. Dealer tells me there's a problem with the passenger detector, so all airbags are disabled. Dealer says it'll cost $400 for a new passenger seat to fix the problem, plus labor. This seems expensive, and I suspect there are other options. You can call the parts dept. of your hyundai dealer. Have your VIN# ready let them know you need a price on the pressure sensor that is inside the passenger seat. If they ask, let them know what it is for. which is to turn on and turn off the passenger air-bag. Remember to stick to the subject, I wouldn't gossip to them about what the service dept. said. through this you will be more informed, good luck.
