Having problems with your Jaguar S-Type ?

My mates astra 1.8 auto 55 plate has a prob, it can be running fine then when you park up switch of ignition lock up car then return try to start it theres nothig,battery test shows bat ok,you hear a

\015 Car can run and start fine,then after left car parked,on returning car has ignition gut wont turn over,it doesnt do this all the time,ther is a clicking sound (faint) but bat amp ok on meter,so is alt when running on meter,startermotor ok as soon as you give jumpstart,its turns,and starts,1st time and it might not do it again for days,battery is not loseing charge and it could be left for only a 2min period,when this happens, so its not something left on either draining it,its getting more frequent now and there,s no engine management light on either to read,any ideas people im baffled!!!1\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-08-2020

GO TO YOUR BATTERY AND BEFORE YOU DO REMOVE THE TERMINALS,USE A MEMORY SAVER ON JUST TO PROTECT THE RADIO CODE,IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT NOT TO STAY WITHOUT RADIO BECAUSE LATER YOU NEED CODE TO PUT IT IN ORDER, THEN PROCEED ON REMOVING ONE BY ONE THE TERMINALS AND BY USING A BRASH OR SAND PAPER,CLEAN BOTH SURFACES ON NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE TERMINALS FOR GOOD CONTACT. USE ALSO A BATTERY TERMINALS GREASE FOR PROTECTION.
