Having problems with your Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

I am having an issue with engine stalls from my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, this has been happening quite frequently, in slow traffic and on the highway. Sometimes when I accelerate it seems to stumble, in order to prevent it from stalling I would quickly slip it into neutral on the fly and pump the accelerator pedal until the engine smooths out. I replaced the ignition coil; distributor cap and rotor and also the spark plug cables. Check engine codes at the time were 0351 and 1494. Engin

HAS THE IDLE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM BEEN CLEANED? THEY GET FULL OF SLUDGE AND CAUSE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM, I SUGGEST U DO THAT, BELOW FIND THE PROCEDURE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS EXACTLY.
\015\012 I want you to get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Hi!!
\015\012
\015\012Code P0351 points towards defective coil which you replaced already,
\015\012
\015\012Code P1494 points towards a vacuum leak. Check all vacuum hoses for cracks and tight fit. If you have doubts about a hose, replace it. This s a common porblem for this type of vehicle.
