The reservoir is part of the trans. To check or fill the automatic use the dipstick, for manual you must go under the jeep and remove the check plug(careful 2 plugs under there pull the higher one.
There is no transmission fluid reservoir. with the engine running at operating temperature on level ground, you need to pull out the transmission dip stick, clean it off, reinsert, remove and check level. as long as it's in the hash marks don't add any fluid.
