Having problems with your Mazda B2200 ?

Alt.putting out 16 volts on tester without being wired to truck it tests good and have a good running donor truck i've being trying parts off of such as alt.,coil,ecu...battery is good too checked wiring front to back of truck several times and everything looks good,even added extra ground wires

Answers :

The alternator should be installed in the truck for voltage testing. Proper voltage with engine running is 13.5 to 14.5 volts at the battery terminals. If it reads 12.6 volts, the wire between the alternator output and the battery is open.
