Having problems with your Mercedes-Benz E-Class ?

My 96 Mercedes E300 Diesel won't start after 3 days of not being driven. My car mechanic replaced the battery and reset the security system, but it did not fix the problem. Could the fact the rear view mirror assembly (which houses the security system) is loose be the source of the problem? The mirror shifts when I hit potholes or drive on bumpy roads and I'm wondering if it affects the security system. The security sytem is the only thing "on" in the car all the time. Any ideas?

Chances are the ignition key sensor is defective, u need to have the dealer test the system with a special scan tool, there is no way around this if u want to use the car anytrime soon, sorry
