Can you give me step by step instructions for how to remove the valve cover on both the left and the right sides on a 99 mercury grand marquis.

The web site ink I am sending you to is for the passenger side gasket replacement procedure, yes it's a crown Victoria but the cars are the same under the hood, the drivers side is much easier, most all steps apply except for the AC removal part, the link has pictures.

Really,it is just a matter of unbolting anything in your way,and moving it.The upper intake(plenum) ,to get to one valve cover, and any cables ,and lines that are in the way.The biggest thing in the way is the plenum, every thing else is pretty much like the old way of removing the valve cover s.Take all the bolts out of the valve covers, and remove the valve covers, clean the old gaskets off real good, and replace the valve cover gaskets,on the valve covers, and use if you want some yellow 3 m glue to keep them in place.Clean the bolts up before putting them back in the covers. If this was at all helpful, please let us know, thank you.
