Having problems with your Mercury Marquis ?

CAR WONT START, IT USE TO START WHEN IT WAS COLD FOR TWO TURNS OF THE KEY. THEN THE 3RD TIME IT WONT TURN OVER. I LET IT SIT OVER NIGHT GO OUT AND START IT 2 TIMES AGAIN THEN NO START. THE COIL AND CONTROL MODULE WEAR TESTED AND ARE GOOD. I WANTED 2 CHANGE THE PICK UP COIL BUT CANT GET THE DISTRIBUTOR GEAR OFF TO TAKE IT APART NOT EVEN SURE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Well ok, so now it won't start at all? So ok test fuel pressure should be at least 40 PSI check for spark and make sure you have NOID this is the pulsing of the fuel injectors you have to narrow down the MISSING item if you have low fuel pressure it won't start even 1 or 2 PSI lower than the manuals mininum listed pressure. Change the fuel filter not the engine oil Im a firm believer in fuel filter service EVERY, EVERY 15,000 miles or sooner and oil changes oh about once every 3 or 4 years relax it will be fine make sure it has oil in it all the time,

Hi Trump40
\015\012I think that if I've understood your problem, I'd look first to the battery and then the starter motor before changing the parts you're talking about.
