Having problems with your Nissan 300ZX ?

On my 2000 Nissan Primera P11 - 144 (Wingroad) station wagon the rear disc brakes require new pads which I have bought. However I am having much difficulty pushing in the pistons (have used a karge G clamp) in order to fit the new pads. These brakes calipers have the handbrake cable to another cylinder to activate the pads. Is there a particular thing I should do or release in order to fit the pads?

Answers :

Open the bleed nipple while the caliper is tight in the clamp - open it till it weeps and tighten the clamp till the pistons are flat with the caliper then tighten the bleed nipple. you should be able to fit the brakes now easily.\015\012Remember to check and if necessary replenish the brake fluid reservoir.
