I would not expect these codes to keep the car from starting but the key would. Did you have the key programmed to the car at the dealer? Is the security light illuminated when you try to start the car? Does it illuminate after cranking for a few seconds?
P0221 and P0222 - Throttle position sensor
P0226 - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
For the codes, First Check your connections especially at the accelerator pedal to make sure that everything is plugged in properly. Sometimes the plug can get kicked and come unplugged. Also check the connections at the throttle body. I am not familiar with the Almera so I am using logic that applies generally.
There is an antenna ring around the key hole. you cant see it , because its inside the covers. remove the steering column cover and look at the key hole area/cylinder. you will find a black ring around the hole, that is the antenna for the key. sounds like antenna went bad and now the car is not seeing registered key. does the car have security light?? if so, look at it while you are cranking the car. if its on steady, then the car is "locked out" by the NISSAN immobilizer. Also the key needs to be registered for the car , or it will not start.
