Let's start with some very basics. Run a compression test and make sure that all the cylinders are close in PSI. It sounds like you are only running on 2 1/2 - 3 cylinders(low compression). Let me know. When you are doing this, make sure all vacuum hoses are in good condition. Look underneath the car after it has ran for about 10 minutes and look for a part of the exhaust that is glowing red. A plugged catalytic converter will do this also causing excessive back pressure to the cylinders not allowing it to breath. The engine in merely an air pump... sucks in, pushes out. The more it can't push out, the less it can **** in also causing a very very lean condition. Let me know what you see.
