Having problems with your Nissan Maxima ?

What is the best way to ensure that the hole in the bolt and the hole in the power steering hose are in line with one another for proper fluid flow. This is on a 2004 nissan maxima

Drain the power steering fluid and see if its flowing properly, then\015\012only it will drain other wise not. Don't drain too much\015\012just few drops. Locate the power steering pump mounted towards the rear of the\015\012engine. It is a small black box, about five inches on each side. There will be\015\012a belt from the engine passing into the box. Place a drain pan\015\012underneath the pump.Disconnect the pump and see if it drain the fluid is flowing,if its not flowing the bolt and hose are not in line.

A banjo bolt is just be the bolt with a hole in it for the PS fluid to pass through.The\015\012banjo bolt has a small hose running from the power steering fluid reservoir to\015\012the power steering pump.-----------Check out.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.
