2002 nissan extera , cruise control doesn't work How can I fix this problem

The cruise control is not getting engaged. There is a screw in switch up and behind the brake pedal with a "plunger type of mechanism".After some usage the the cruise control cut-off switch screw gets loose.Just check this screw.If its got loose then make it proper and see if that helps.Also if the cruise control light is coming on but not working at steering wheel controls then the connector switch at steering wheel has to be checked.If any wire is got loose or short causing this problem.This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.\015\012
Although cruise control is a simple set up it is quite difficult to fault find.

\015\012You have extra wires going into the throttle body, you'll need pin / loom data to check for volts and resistance at this point.
