Having problems with your Oldsmobile Delta 88 ?

The glowplugs in my 1982 delta 88 royal broham will not heat up. I replaced the relay with a part that looked just like the one I took off but wasnt specified for "glowplug relay" I had to take the plug receptors off of the old one and put them on the new one. Still the wait light just stays on and there is no "thud" that indicates that the glowplugs are ready. What do I do?

Answers :

Need to check the glow plugs.Simple.
\015\012 Take a test light ,hook the clip to the POSITIVE post of the battery.
\015\012 Unplug the feed wire from all the glow plugs ,
\015\012 The light should light on all 8 when touched to the top post.
\015\012 If you have 1 or 2 that don't work it might start ,any more and it won't.
