Having problems with your Plymouth Acclaim ?

The car is running off the battery only, there is no charge. The battery is new and tests fine. The altinator tests bad whiloe in the car, but when alt is off the car it tests good. All fuses have been tested and are good. The battery guage in dash shows below first line. Voltage regulator when attached to battery registers 11.o and drops to 8.0 or lower. Answers :

Consider replacing the voltage regulator tho usually it is incorporated into the alternator. i would also check/replace the relay for the charging circuit located in the engine compartment fuse panel near the battery.
\015\012recheck the wiring going to the alternator as well to make sure the wires are going to the proper fittings. there is a chance that even tho the alternator tests good outside the car that it has failed.
