Hi, i take it your car is the one listed above, i cam across this on the web witch was alot quicker than me typing it all out and says more or less what i would have said myself.
Now read through it all first before doing any work so you get a rough idea of what is needed, now once the door card/panel is off you will then be able to see how the motor is held in its not difficult changing the motor the hardest part is taking the door card off, so take your time and you should be ok, when fitting the motor make sure its tightened up properly due to the stress put on it by the weight of the window so make sure its secure, follow the instructions and you should have no problems.

\015\0121) Take off the tweeter (triangular thing). It is simply clipped on and\015\012will come off relatively easily. Pinch inward and pull out.\015\012
2) Then proceed to roll down the window ALL THE WAY. This will\015\012prevent you from scratching or shattering the window if a tool slips.\015\012Next, pop off the window and lock control panel (with a flat-head screw\015\012driver) off the door panel (it is simply clipped in with 2 metal tabs\015\012on each side to hold it in) to reveal the inside of the door and ONE\015\012LARGE SCREW.
\015\0123) Start to take off the door panel screws. From what I remember, these\015\012are the screws and their locations: (in order)\015\012a) Small screw holding in door handle cover. (this removes the\015\012protective door handle thing)(the protective thing needs to be removed:\015\012simply pull on the handle while slipping the cover out.)\015\012b) Large screw under the handle of the door. (this will loosen the\015\012whole panel)\015\012c) Large screw UNDER the reflector plate on the door. You will have to\015\012take off the reflector in order to gain access to this screw. CAUTION:\015\012the reflector is VERY fragile and can crack easily. (this will loosen\015\012the whole panel)\015\012d) Large screw right behind the window controls. (this will disconnect\015\012the whole panel from the door itself.\015\012
\015\012DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE PANEL WITHOUT REMOVING ALL THE SCREWS AND THE PROTECTIVE PLATE!!!\015\012
4) Electronic Obstacles...yea...kinda hard to explain: Well,\015\012first off, the panel will not be able to come off without disconnecting\015\012the door control panel. Since you already popped off the window\015\012controls, all you need to do is disconnect the adapter that the wires\015\012plug into. On the passenger side, this is easy, simply pinch in on the\015\012two connectors and pull out. These "ribbons" may need a bit of\015\012convincing, but they DO come off. The driver's side electronics are\015\012EXTREMELY complex and are EXTREMELY hard to take off, to tell you the\015\012truth
I found this easy with two people. \015\012\015\0125) Now for the hardest part, taking off the door panel itself. The\015\012whole panel is held on by white PLASTIC bolts that are ribbed. These\015\012bolts can be pretty annoying, but secure the door quite well. First, I\015\012started by the tweeter. There should be a small space where you can fit\015\012a hand in and start pulling. DO NOT PULL OR TRY TO PULL ALONG THE TOP\015\012OF THE DOOR, START YOUR HAND ON THE TOP BY THE TWEETER AND WORK YOUR\015\012WAY DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TWEETER SIDE (while hand still between\015\012the panel and the door itself). THEN START PULLING ONCE YOU ARE AT THE\015\012BOTTOM OF THE DOOR PANEL. As you work your hand down the door, you\015\012might here a sound of breaking plastic, this is what you are looking\015\012for. The ribbed bolts are being pulled out of their holes. Eventually,\015\012once a majorority of a side is out, it will make it MUCH MUCH easier to\015\012pull the remaining bolts out. Once you get the hang of hearing the\015\012bolts come out, and you are able to get a bigger grip on the panel, the\015\012whole door will eventually POP off. Now that it is popped, lift the\015\012panel up and it then should come off cleanly.\015\012

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
Hello. The first step is taking off the inner door panel. If you will tell me what year you have and which side I can send instructions for removing the panel. If you already have the panel off, this is what you do.
Remove the 2 bolts holding the glass in the track,
Now raise the glass up and secure it, most people use some sort of tape like masking tape to hold the glass up, don't be bashful with the tape, with the glass all the way up start at the bottom and place the tape on the glass and go up and over the top of the door frame and back down the other side and back onto the glass, do this at least twice,
Unplug the window motor,
Remove the nuts and bolts holding the motor and regulator to the door, and twist the motor/regulator assembly out,
Now install the new regulator and bolt it in, tighten the nuts-bolts,
Gently lower the glass into the regulator and bolt it into place,Plug the motor back in and replace the inner door panel.

As I said earlier, if you need instructions for panel removal, jut let me know the year of your Grand Am.
