Having problems with your Pontiac Grand Am ?

How can I tell if my timing chain or belt is on it's way out? Is there a sound it makes? Thank you

There is no way to tell if the timing belt or chain is going out. It will not make any sound just break. It is recommended to change at 60,000 to 75,000 miles, although some belts are designed to last up to 100,000 miles
