Having problems with your Pontiac Montana SV6 ?

I have a 1998 Pontiac Montana. While driving, the air flow from the vents surges when the gas pedal is pressed, and ebbs when going slower or stopped. If the a/c is on, when moving the air is cool, when stopped air is warm. When I stop the van, it will need a jump to start. Battery has tested as good.

This sounds like the alternator is in that grey area between failing and still doing something. When tested, this unit needs to have at least 13.5 volts with all accesories on. If it drops below that, replace the alternator. Let me know if you need anything else.
